About us

We are a rural parish served by the Diocese of Des Moines, Iowa. We provide the Catholic faith to Greenfield, Fontanelle, Bridgewater, Orient, and surrounding areas. We offer the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Matrimony upon request. We also have weekly opportunities for Reconciliation on Saturday evenings from 4:50-5:00 P.M., and on Sunday mornings 7:50-8:00 A.M., and Holy Eucharist on Saturday evenings at 5:15 P.M., and Sunday mornings at 8:15 A.M. Daily Masses are held at 8:30 A.M. Tuesday and Thursday mornings and at noon on Fridays.

We have a strong youth faith formation program that runs Wednesday evenings from late August through Easter. Our program provides preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion for our second graders, and Confirmation for our juniors in high school. Instruction is led by parish volunteers and funded through suggested amount of $20 per child registration fees.

We serve Greenfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center on an as needed or requested basis. To request or inquire please contact the church office or the nursing home directly.

We work with Lamb Funeral Home and other funeral services in the event a Mass of Christian Burial is requested by the family. Anointing of the Sick can be requested for yourself or someone else by calling Father directly.

Causes We Support

Adair County Benevolence Fund

Adair County Benevolence Fund

We collect donations every 5th Sunday (weekend) for this local fund to help out those in our community in need. The fund is used to help with utilities, prescriptions, rent, and transportation to doctor appointments.

American Red Cross

American Red Cross

We host a blood drive for the American Red Cross each June. Many of our parishioners support the Red Cross blood drives held at local schools during the school year. These blood drives support scholarships for our local high school seniors.

We support all members of our diocese through vocations to the priesthood and religious life. A collection is taken annually to help with financial support of these individuals.
