Services

These are our main services, but others may be available upon request. Please don't hesitate to contact us.
Marriage

We offer marriage preparation and ceremony for Catholics and potential spouses. We have sponsor couples and can administer the FOCUS survey.

We also understand that sometimes marriages fail. Divorce is painful and heartbreaking. You are not excommunicated from the Church. We can offer assistance and guidance with obtaining an annulment, so you are able to marry in the church in the future should you so desire.

Baptism

Baptism is offered on an individual basis. Beginning with an initial meeting with Father Philip. Plans are then made regarding any faith formation needed or plans for the baptism itself.

Baptisms can be held during mass or privately. Each family has their own preference. If St. Johns is not your registered parish, permission can be provided by your home parish for the sacrament to be provided here.

Anointing of the Sick

The Rite of Anointing tells us there is no need to wait until a person is at the point of death to receive the Sacrament. A careful judgment about the serious nature of the illness is sufficient.

When the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is given, the hoped-for effect is that, if it be God's will, the person be physically healed of illness. But even if there is no physical healing, the primary effect of the Sacrament is a spiritual healing by which the sick person receives the Holy Spirit's gift of peace and courage to deal with the difficulties that accompany serious illness or the frailty of old age.
